After an initial flurry of signings, it looks like Chelsea's focus has now shifted towards parting ways with the players they already have. Noni Madueke, Djordje Petrovic and Mathis Amougou are headed for the exit door. It is believed that Joao Felix could join them soon as well, if reports coming out of Portugal are accurate. And there are plenty more players who could leave soon.

One player whose future is in doubt right now is Nicolas Jackson. The Senegal international has failed to convince over the past two years that he can be Chelsea's first-choice striker.

This summer, the club have brought in Liam Delap and Joao Pedro as competition. In fact, both might be ahead of him in the pecking order, leading to question marks about how much playing time Jackson is going to get.

There is no lack of interest if the striker does end up leaving. As reported by CaughtOffside, Chelsea are expected to ask for around €50 million to part ways with Jackson, On the other hand, Barcelona are currently showing the strongest interest and would like to discuss a loan deal. Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Napoli and AC Milan also hold an interest in him.

Jackson is brilliant in the build-up side of things and his technical ability is impressive for a striker. But it is in front of goal that he often lets his team down. The Senegal international's finishing leaves a lot to be desired.

Also, the competition for places seems to be having an effect on his performances. It is clear that he is feeling the pressure and is letting that affect his decision-making. Not passing the ball to an open Cole Palmer in front of an empty net is a prime example of that.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Jackson and Chelsea. If he does end up leaving, will the Blues go out and sign another striker?
