Chelsea had been on a great run until their unexpected 3-1 defeat at the hands of Leeds United. It had included a 3-0 win over FC Barcelona. One of the standout performers on that night was the Blues' Portuguese winger, Pedro Neto, who also found the back of the net against the Peacocks, although the goal went in vain.
It appears that Barcelona were impressed with what they saw from Neto. And now, if reports coming out of Spain are accurate, then they are trying to sign him.
As reported by Fichajes, Barcelona have Pedro Neto as a top priority for the upcoming summer transfer window. The club's management is considering submitting a concrete offer to Chelsea and believe that an offer of €50 million plus €20 million in add-ons could be attractive and realistic enough to entice the Blues.
To be very honest, that might not be enough to convince Chelsea to part ways with Neto. They paid a figure in the region of £54 million to sign him from Wolves in the summer of 2024 and although he has had his ups and downs since then, he has now been able to establish himself as a regular starter for Enzo Maresca's side.

Of course, many might feel that Chelsea will need to say goodbye to Neto sooner or later if they want to help Estevao's development. Right now, the Brazilian winger is doing a pretty good job but is a rotational option at best.
Then there is the impending arrival of Geovany Quenda. From his early signs at Sporting CP, he is another youngster who could develop into a special player in the future.
It will be very interesting to see what the future holds for someone like Neto in a squad full of quality young wingers. But as long as he continues to deliver as a starter, the club should not consider parting ways.
