The English transfer window might have closed but that is not the case with a few other leagues across the globe. The Turkish one, for example, is open for another week and will close on September 12. But before that does happen, it looks like Besiktas are trying to sign one of Chelsea's players, who is out of Enzo Maresca's plans.

Chelsea did a fantastic job this summer, finding new homes for players who did not have a long-term future at Stamford Bridge. The likes of Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Djordje Petrovic, Joao Felix and several others have left.

But then, there are some whom Chelsea could not engineer exits for. One of them is Axel Disasi, who is believed to have turned down loan offers from multiple Premier League clubs. Could a move to Turkey lie in his future?

As reported by the outlet Turkish-football, Besiktas are hoping to add Disasi to its ranks before the transfer window closes. They are said to have made preliminary inquiries about the Chelsea defender already. And the management is expected to formalise its interest and inquire about the player’s financial terms and availability in the coming days.

DIsasi was signed by Chelsea a couple of summers back from AS Monaco for a transfer fee believed to be in the region of €45 million. But the Blues are not expected to recoup a lot of that, if or when the Frenchman departs.

Disasi is a solid defender, there is no doubt about that. He was a key part of the team under the management of Mauricio Pochettino.

That has not been the case since Maresca's arrival though. He spent time on loan at Aston Villa. And it feels like the time has come for him to depart on a permanent basis.
