Following a poor start to the season, there have been some positive steps on the part of Chelsea. Their performances remain nowhere near the mark but at least they are squeezing out some results at the moment, having won six out of their previous seven matches. Hopefully, things will improve further when some of their key players return from injury, especially Cole Palmer, who is out until December.
On the other hand, it looks like Chelsea have taken some positive steps off the pitch as well. An announcement might not be far away when it comes to a long-awaited deal for the Blues.
As reported by Aaron Ramiro, Chelsea are in advanced negotiations for a front-of-shirt sponsorship deal to cover the remainder of the 2025-26 season. An announcement is imminent.
This is both good news and bad. Of course, a sponsor is needed as soon as possible. That being said, the way the update is worded, it looks like this could be another short-term deal rather than the long-term one they have needed for so long.
Chelsea in advanced negotiation over deal and announcement is believed to be close
Chelsea have not had a steady sponsor since the change in ownership. This is simply unheard of for a club of this size and popularity, and one has to question what the commerical team has been doing for so many years.
The Infinite Athlete deal was a short-term one. It was followed by almost an entire season without a front-of-shirt sponsor, before Damac arrived but only for a handful of games.
The reason behind the delay was believed to be the fact that Chelsea had not been able to find a sponsor willing to meet the figures that they were looking for. But even after waiting for so long, it looks like that remains the case.
