Chelsea and Aston Villa are quickly becoming the two busiest clubs in this summer's transfer window.
The Blues and the Villains have already finalised a £117 million deal that has seen Morgan Rogers move to Stamford Bridge and become Britain’s most expensive player.
They're also on the verge of completing a loan-to-buy deal that will see Alejandro Garnacho move to Villa Park.
And according to recent reports, more deals between the two clubs could soon follow.
Aston Villa in talks with Chelsea for several players
In addition to Garnacho, Unai Emery is continuing to scour the market looking for more even attacking additions. Of course, the £117 million Villa have just received for Rogers will make the Spaniard’s task a lot easier.
Emery is keen to add Nicolas Jackson to his options following the pair's time working together at Villarreal. Chelsea have been discussing a deal that could top £60 million for several days.
And according to TEAMtalk, in addition to Jackson, the Villains have also made enquiries for defensive duo Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi, although it's unknown if Emery wants both defenders or just the one.
Bomb squad being trimmed down
Both Badiashile and Disasi have been part of the Blues' bomb squad.
Badiashile started just six Premier League games last season with Disasi spending the entire campaign on loan with West Ham.
Had it not have been for the Hammers' relegation on the final day, Disasi probably would've made a permanent switch to the London Stadium.
The 28-year-old now faces an uncertain future, but with the likes of Aston Villa — one of his former clubs — interested, it probably won't be long before Chelsea are able to find a permanent solution.
The Blues' sporting department are believed to value the Paris FC academy graduate at £25 million; roughly £13 million less than what they paid Monaco for him three years ago.
Like Disasi, teammate Badiashile has also been outcasted at Stamford Bridge for quite some time.
Despite the centre-back still having four years left on his contract following his £35 million move from Monaco in 2023, he has failed to become a regular in any of the Blues' former head coaches' plans.
The former Monaco defender featured most under Enzo Maresca but wasn't fancied by either Liam Rosenior, nor Calum McFarlane, and as a result, the club are willing to let him leave if a suitable offer is made.
Trevoh Chalobah has also been discussed rated, but Emery is unlikely to sign the England international due to Como being on the verge of completing a deal.
