Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham are locked in a fierce contest to sign Borussia Dortmund's 20-year-old English winger, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens according to Build (via The Hard Tackle). His impressive performances in the Bundesliga have caught the eyes of scouts from these top Premier League clubs, each eager to bolster their squads with fresh talent.

A long-term vision for Chelsea

Despite a bustling summer transfer window that brought Pedro Neto, Joao Felix, and Jadon Sancho to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea's interest in Bynoe-Gittens remains strong. Under the guidance of manager Enzo Maresca, the Blues have made an impressive start to the season, currently sitting fourth in the league with 14 points from seven matches.

Maresca's leadership has been acknowledged with the Premier League Manager of the Month award for September, while Cole Palmer clinched the Player of the Month title.

However, Chelsea's pursuit of Bynoe-Gittens raises eyebrows regarding their transfer strategy, especially with Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez set to join in 2025. The club appears to be building a long-term vision centred around young talent.

Liverpool and Tottenham enter the fray

Liverpool, having recently secured Federico Chiesa's signature, are also keen on adding Bynoe-Gittens to their ranks. Manager Arne Slot is known for his ability to spot young talent and has expressed interest in another Dortmund player, Karim Adeyemi. For Liverpool, Bynoe-Gittens represents an opportunity to enhance their attacking prowess.

Tottenham, on the other hand, are eyeing potential successors for key players like Heung-min Son. The North London club has already invested in youth by signing winger Wilson Odobert. However, they see Bynoe-Gittens as a potential future star and are eager to bring him to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Nynoe-Gittens' meteoric rise at Dortmund

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens' journey at Borussia Dortmund began in 2020 after leaving Manchester City's academy. This season, he has made nine appearances for Dortmund, scoring four goals and providing two assists across all competitions. His standout performances in the Champions League include a brace against Club Brugge and an assist in a commanding 7-1 victory over Celtic.

His talents have also been recognised on the international stage. Bynoe-Gittens has earned a spot in England's Under-21 squad for the Euro 2025 qualifiers against Ukraine and Azerbaijan, further highlighting his potential.

Dortmund's negotiating power

Borussia Dortmund has established itself as a powerhouse in developing and selling young English talents for significant fees. The sales of Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham, who joined Real Madrid for approximately £100 million in July 2023 illustrate Dortmund's knack for nurturing and profiting from young players. With Bynoe-Gittens under contract until 2028, Dortmund holds a strong negotiating position.

As Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham vie for Jamie Bynoe-Gittens' signature, any club wishing to secure his services will likely need to make a substantial financial offer.
