Enzo Fernandez has been linked with a move away from Chelsea for quite a while. In the past, they have just been rumours. But with the sacking of Enzo Maresca, fresh speculation has cropped up regarding the Argentine World Cup winner's future and it is not hard to understand why. The constant upheaval and lack of consistent success at Stamford Bridge is starting to become a problem if the club want to keep their top players happy.

There would be no lack of suitors for Fernandez, if he did become available. Real Madrid have been linked with him since before he joined Chelsea.

If Fernandez does end up leaving, Chelsea will need to find a replacement for him. And it looks like a PSG midfielder is on their radar. Interestingly, the French club have been linked with the Argentine themselves.

On the other hand, as reported by Fichajes, Chelsea's management is clear that if Fernandez leaves the club, they will immediately replace him. Joao Neves is their chosen replacement. The figure being discussed is around €125 million. In London, they are confident that this offer will be enough to open genuine negotiations with PSG.

Vitinha has earned most of the plaudits when it comes to PSG's midfielders. But Neves deserves a ton of credit for the part he has played in the French club's success.

Still just 21 years of age, signing Neves would fit perfectly with Chelsea's transfer model. Is he worth a €125 million fee though? That is a question a lot of fans will be asking themselves, already frustrated by the Blues' transfer model.

Anyways, let's see what the future holds for Neves. A move to Chelsea seems unlikely. Rarely do PSG allow their top players to leave. But never say never in football.
