It is no secret that Chelsea could do with another striker. They sanctioned Nicolas Jackson's move to Bayern Munich late in the summer transfer window. Liam Delap has been out injured since early in the campaign as well, and before that, he managed a solitary goal in nine appearances for the club. Joao Pedro does not look like an out-and-out centre-forward and could work better playing with a focal point. And while Marc Guiu did score against Ajax, is he ready to contribute regularly for the Blues?

All these things combined, it might be the right time for Chelsea to consider bringing in another striker. In the summer, they were linked with a move for Nick Woltemade for a while.

Eventually, Woltemade ended up joining Newcastle United and has made a bright start with the Magpies, scoring four goals in five Premier League appearances so far. It shows that the right Bundesliga strikers can make that transition to the English top flight. And interestingly, another one of them is being linked with Chelsea.

As reported by TBR Football, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have all joined the race to sign Fisnik Asllani. Barcelona and Manchester City are believed to be interested in the Hoffenheim striker as well.

Asllani is 23 years old and has been brilliant at the start of this season. In eight appearances across all competitions, he has scored five goals and provided a couple of assists.

The previous campaign was a positive one for Asllani as well. On loan at SV Elversberg, he scored 19 goals and provided 10 assists in 37 appearances.

That is the kind of output you need from someone if they want to be Chelsea's number 9. Now, it remains to be seen if the Blues end up making a push to sign the Kosovo international or not.
