Now, we know Rashford's next destination and it is not Stamford Bridge. Instead, he is going to end up joining Barcelona if things go according to plan.

There is a verbal agreement in principle between all parties involved with the La Liga champions planning for medical tests in the next days. It is a loan deal with a buy option, with details being finalised today. Then Man Utd will authorise his travel to Spain.

There is no question about Rashford's talent. But the Englishman has never quite managed to reach his full potential during his time at Manchester United.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa. Incidentally, his best performance for the club came in a game against Chelsea as he came off the bench to provide two assists as they came from behind to win 2-1.
So, it is not hard to understand why Chelsea might have held an interest in Rashford. But he is headed to Barcelona instead. Let's see how things turn out for him in Spain. As for the Blues, they will need to look at other options in this summer window.
