Considering the number of signings that Chelsea have made under the new ownership, it is easy to see why it would be tough for a manager to give enough playing time to everybody and keep them happy. This is an issue that dates back to the Thomas Tuchel era. So, it should not come as a surprise that quite a few of them are currently out on loan.
There are those like Kendry Paez and Mike Penders, who will hopefully have a bright future at Chelsea. On the other hand, there are also those who might not want one.
In recent weeks, there have been suggestions that Bayern Munich have no plans to meet the clause in Nicolas Jackson's contract to sign him permanently. Naturally, rumours have cropped up whether he could return to Chelsea as early as January or eventually next summer.
As reported by The Sun, Jackson is determined to not return to Chelsea. He is eager to be a success at Bayern Munich and is very happy there.
Chelsea loanee doesn't want to return to Stamford Bridge
To be honest, that is a bit confusing. Jackson is clearly second choice at Bayern Munich behind Harry Kane and has not started too often.
In fact, the obligation to buy clause in his contract only becomes active if he starts a certain number of games, which he is not expected to meet. So, it is curious that he is happy at Bayern Munich despite being a secondary option.
To be honest, Chelsea would probably want to see him complete a permanent move away as well and to get as big a transfer fee as possible, naturally. Let's just hope that he goes on to have a great campaign with Bayern Munich and earns himself that transfer to Bavaria, or to another top club.
