Chelsea are still going strong as we enter the final few weeks of the transfer window. The club have successfully brought a number of reinforcements to their squad already, including Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Jorrel Hato. Additionally Brazilian youngster Estevao, who was signed in 2024, has also joined the Blues recently.
A few more additions are expected before the window closes. Xavi Simons is one of the players expected to arrive soon. Apart from him, Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho could also be signed.
Manchester United are trying to find a new home for the player for quite some time now, but haven’t been successful so far. He is completely out of Ruben Amorim's plans and the longer things drag on, the further his transfer valuation will fall.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also looking to part ways with some players who might be of interest to Manchester United. That includes names like Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku.
Chelsea not looking to overpay to sign Garnacho
It looks like the Blues want the Argentine in a bargain deal. As reported by the Independent, Chelsea don't want to pay more than £30m to sign Garnacho.
After struggling for options last season, Chelsea had made the signing of a left-winger a priority in this transfer window. They have already brought in Gittens from Dortmund for the role. But Garnacho could provide a much-needed backup and even compete for a starting role with the Englishman, if he arrives.
It’s true that Garnacho had a difficult last season, but there’s no denying the fact that he is one of the best talents in his position. Chelsea have an upper hand while negotiating for this deal as the Argentine is believed to prioritise a move to Stamford Bridge and is willing to wait.
Garnacho could get a much-needed fresh start at Stamford Bridge and get back his form. That said, it remains to be seen how the two clubs proceed with this deal in the next few weeks.
