Chelsea’s frontline will have a fresh new look next season, as the Blues are making major changes to the area. As we all know, Joao Pedro and Liam Delap have already arrived at Stamford Bridge as the new strikers and are set to lead the line for the Blues moving forward. On the other hand, Jamie Gittens has been brought in on the wing. Meanwhile, the club are also trying to part with a number of their current strikers to clear out some squad space and balance their books.

Joao Felix has already moved to Al-Nassr. Christopher Nkunku and possibly Nicolas Jackson could also find new clubs soon. However, there seems to be a surprise new name added to the list of potential departees this summer, with Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund linked with the player.

Dortmund have already done some business with Chelsea this summer, starting with Gittens, who landed at Stamford Bridge after lengthy negotiations between the two clubs. Carney Chukwuemeka is also close to joining the Bundesliga side.

And now, another player is said to have attracted interest from the German giants. According to TBR Football, Tyrique George is one of the players Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund have discussed during transfer talks.

Dortmund interested in Chelsea forward Tyrique George

George came through Chelsea’s academy. The player was a reliable backup option and has gone on to appear in 26 matches for the club, even scoring three goals.

However, with the recent signings and the potential additions of Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho to come, George will slide further down the pecking order and his minutes are expected to dip. As a result, the player is believed to be seeking a move away, whether it be permanent or on loan.

While fans would have loved to see the academy graduate succeed at Stamford Bridge, his future might lie elsewhere. Overall, it’s a win-win situation for both the player and the club.
