Quite a few Chelsea players are being linked with moves away right now. The most prominent of them is Noni Madueke, who is drawing the interest of Arsenal and has agreed on personal terms with the London club. With the Blues needing to raise money through transfers this summer, it is not hard to imagine the England international leaving. Of course, he is not the only one who could be headed for the exit door.
Another player who could be on his way out is Nicolas Jackson. Chelsea have added Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer, raising questions over the Senegal international's future.
Jackson has shown a ton of promise during his time at Chelsea. But his waywardness in front of goal and inability to keep out of the referee's book mean that he might not be the long-term solution for the Blues, no matter which way you look at it.
Jackson has been linked with Arsenal as well. On the other hand, clubs in Italy like Napoli, Juventus, Inter Milan and more could be interested in him. But what does the player himself want to do?
Nicolas Jackson does not want to leave Chelsea despite rumours
As reported by Rahman Osman, Jackson doesn’t want to leave Chelsea this summer. The striker's aim is to put the last few games behind him and get back to his best form. He has taken on board all the criticism and sees it all as a call to improve.
Once again, there is a ton to like about Jackson's game. In the buildup phase of things, he is brilliant and one of the best Chelsea have had in a while. But it is in the final third of the pitch that things seem to fall apart. If he can get his finishing together, he might prove to be one of the best strikers in world football.
But then, Chelsea cannot continue to rely on potential. At some point, Jackson will need to start delivering, especially now that Enzo Maresca has alternative options like Delap and Pedro.
