There was one major exit from Chelsea on deadline day as Nicolas Jackson got his wish to head to Bayern Munich. Initially, a loan with an option to buy deal had been agreed with the Bavarians but the Blues cancelled that after Liam Delap's injury and called him back to London. The Bundesliga giants then showed their belief in the Senegalese striker's potential by agreeing a loan plus obligation to buy deal worth a total €80.5 million.

Of course, that is a significant transfer fee. And let's admit it, it is more than what most Chelsea fans would have expected to get out of Jackson's exit. It is possible that he gets his finishing together at some point and becomes a world-class striker. But at this point, he is not one.

On the other hand, there is another talent who had the chance to potentially leave Chelsea this summer. But he decided to stay put at Stamford Bridge.

As reported by Eduardo Burgos, Andrey Santos rejected Al Qadsiah. They made an offer of €50 million to Chelsea. But the player's dream is to play in the next World Cup 2026 with Brazil and his chances of doing that are better if he stays with the Blues.

Santos might not be a starter for Chelsea at this point, but he is viewed as a key part of the squad, both in the present and for the future. This season, he has been brought into the first-team fold after an excellent loan campaign at Strasbourg.

Santos has featured in all three of Chelsea's games so far this season. He has come on as a substitute on those occasions but soon enough, he is expected to be getting starts as well.

At this point in time, Chelsea should not even consider the idea of parting with Santos. His potential is too high and at first, we need to figure out what his best role is and where he fits into this team. The Brazilian will also need some time to adjust to English football.
