Chelsea have brought in three players to bolster their forward line ahead of next season. Among them, Joao Pedro has already impressed with his performance at the Club World Cup, scoring three goals in three appearances. Meanwhile, Liam Delap has also played his part well and is easing into the team.

The latest player to arrive, Jamie Gittens, is expected to be used as the primary option on the left flank. So it’s fair to say that Enzo Maresca will have plenty of options to pick from.

Now, to create space and abide by PSR, following the arrival of the new signings, Chelsea will have to part ways with some of their existing players. Noni Madueke, Djordje Petrovic and some others have already left the club, whereas Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku seem to be next in line.

Amid all these developments, attention has now turned to Raheem Sterling. Reports have emerged that Chelsea have set a transfer asking fee for the Englishman, who is drawing the interest of a couple of top clubs.

Chelsea set £20 million transfer asking fee for Raheem Sterling

According to ESPN, Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen are among the clubs interested in Sterling. Chelsea have set a £20 million asking price on a deal for the winger.

Sterling spent last season on loan with Arsenal and has returned to Stamford Bridge since then. He appeared in 28 matches in all competitions overall in the last campaign but contributed a meagre one goal and five assists. Maresca doesn’t have the English international in his plans, which is understandable given his form.

It will only be a matter of time before Sterling bids goodbye to Stamford Bridge, if a satisfactory offer arrives. As for the club he will join, that remains to be seen. That being said, Chelsea might have a tough time drawing bids in that region for a 30-year-old completely out of form and on a high salary.
