Could we have not one but two people doing the 'cold' celebration at Stamford Bridge next season? Well, if Chelsea's transfer plans go according to plan, 'yes' would be the answer to that question. The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for Morgan Rogers although it is believed that Aston Villa would look for a transfer fee in the region of £90 million to consider an exit.

Of course, there is no doubt that Rogers is one of the brightest talents in world football. That being said, a £90 million fee is steep for anybody, especially someone unproven at one of Europe's biggest teams.

Chelsea seem to be willing to offer some players in a swap-plus-cash offer to sign Rogers though. At least that is what the media suggests.

As reported by National World, Aston Villa are not interested in parting ways with Rogers but Chelsea remain undeterred. Nicolas Jackson and Tosin Adarabioyo have both been offered as part of the deal, along with cash.

It is not hard to see why Aston Villa might be reluctant to part ways with Rogers this summer. Last season, he scored 14 goals and provided 15 assists across all competitions.

Rogers' versatility could be an asset to Chelsea as well. But all things considered, a move to Stamford Bridge seems unlikely. While the player is believed to be open to the idea, he is not actively pushing to leave Aston Villa this summer and is settled there.

On the other hand, Chelsea's recent interest in Xavi Simons suggests that the Blues have found an alternative option. It is hard to imagine that the club would have any interest in signing both Rogers and the Dutch international in the same summer transfer window.
