Chelsea have some of the best young talent from around world football on their books right now. And they seem to be showing no signs of stopping in that regard, having added players like Alejandro Garnacho, Jorrel Hato and Estevao to their ranks this summer. Of course, amidst bringing in fresh faces, the club cannot forget about those already at their academy ranks.

One talent who left Chelsea recently is Rio Ngumoha. He joined Liverpool last year and is already starting to make his presence felt in the senior team. The Blues would not want to repeat that.

Ryan Kavuma-McQueen is someone who has attracted international headlines recently. He scored four goals and provided an assist in a thrilling win for the England U17s over Germany. And it looks like he is set to stay put at Chelsea, despite interest from elsewhere.

As reported by BBC Sport, Chelsea are set to seal the signing of Kavuma-McQueen on a long-term contract. The youngster is set to sign his first professional contract on his 17th birthday despite interest from other top clubs.

Of course, the four-goal performance against Germany is not a one-off for Kavuma-McQueen. He has been one of the brightest talents in the Cobham ranks for a while and now the world seems to be taking notice.

There are a few other such talents in the Chelsea academy at this point in time as well. So, the Blues might not need to look outside for the best youngsters in football.

One can only hope that the likes of Kavuma-McQueen get a proper chance at playing senior-level football for Chelsea. If their development goes according to plan, they could be some of the best on the planet and the Cobham connection always helps.
