For the most part, it is Real Madrid who have signed players from Chelsea in recent years. Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois, Antonio Rudiger, the list goes on. And in recent times, they have also been heavily linked with a move for Enzo Fernandez. But in an interesting turn of events, it looks like it is the Blues who have their sights set on one of Los Blancos' midfielders.

Real Madrid are going through a bit of a transition as well. This summer, they said goodbye to Carlo Ancelotti, who delivered a couple of Champions League titles in his second run at the Santiago Bernabeu despite having to work under financial constraints.

Xabi Alonso has replaced his former manager. And one player whose future is under question right now is Eduardo Camavinga.

As reported by Fichajes, Chelsea have set their sights on Camavinga as one of their top targets for the upcoming summer transfer window in 2026. The Blues want to bring in a top-level signing to complement Fernandez and Moises Caicedo. The 23-year-old midfielder's transfer value is around €60 million, a fee the world champions are willing to accept to secure a player with his potential and experience in top-level competitions.

Camavinga was one of the brightest young midfielders in world football when Real Madrid signed him from Rennes. And since then, he has proven his quality.

Camavinga has played all over the pitch for Real Madrid, whenever called upon to do so. That being said, he has never really been able to establish himself as a regular starter.

If it becomes clear that he is not a big part of Alonso's plans, the Frenchman could look to leave next summer. That would open up the window of opportunity for Chelsea to swoop in and get a deal done.
