Estevao might be one of Chelsea's best signings this century.

The Blues moved quick to sign the the 18-year-old from Palmeiras and, despite BlueCo part of a multi-club ownership, have opted against loaning him out.

Despite his age and this season being his first in England's notoriously difficult top flight, the talented teenager has already reached double figures for goal contributions.

His latest outing saw him score in the side's 7-0 FA Cup demolition over Port Vale last weekend.

With his profile rising week on week, it's only a matter of time before he lines up in Brazil's famous yellow kit at this summer's World Cup in America.

And the Brazil national team are just as excited by what Chelsea's number 41 will do Stateside as what the blue half of London are.

Davide Ancelotti tips Estevao for World Cup greatness

Although Estevao was ruled out of the most recent international break due to injury, he has already earned 11 senior caps and is expected to be among Carlo Ancelotti's final 26-man World Cup squad.

And speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live's Euro Leagues podcast about which player might be this summer's breakthrough talent, Ancelotti's son — Davide Ancelotti — who serves as the national team's assistant coach — believes the stage is set for Estevao to shine.

"The guy that will surprise you is someone that is not so well known.

We have a lot of attacking players. We have a lot of talent and a lot of different profiles. And if I have to give you a name, Estevao is one of the rising talents of Brazil."

The Selecao have drawn a favourable group which will include Morocco, Haiti and Scotland. This should give Ancelotti plenty of opportunities to give Estevao minutes, especially if the South Americans top the group before their final game.

Chelsea have a future superstar on their hands

Even though some eyebrows were raised after Chelsea agreed to pay Palmeiras £29.1 million for a relatively unknown teenager 12 months ago, and then hand him an eight year deal, no one is doubting the deal now.

Estevao looks like a real talent and has already proven he can handle the robust and fast paced Premier League.

With an abundance of attaking talent and seemingly infinite potential, Chelsea would have already mapped out Estevao's development pathway which might include managing his minutes.

However, should the 18-year-old continue on this upward trajectory, Liam Rosenior will have no choice but to make him one the first names on his team sheets.
