The festive season brings us much joy, presents and football. Lots of football! In Fantasy Premier League, points galore are also available over the Christmas period. That's if a manager navigates his team astutely through the busy December schedule up until the FA Cup restarts in early January. Chelsea assets have, of course, been pretty beneficial in FPL this season.
However, and on the contrary, dread and disaster can wash over fantasy sides if their bosses doesn't plan precisely and prudently. Luck, sometimes referred to as 'the residue of design', obviously plays a significant role in every aspect of the sport in general too. Yet the cream rises to the top in fantasy football - just as with any game of ingenuity.
Today, we examine a potential bump in the road to come. And the issue may emerge quickly after Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka, a favourite of many gaffers', was ruled out for a couple of months. Saka's hamstring aside, superstar baller Cole Palmer's minutes might be at risk as well. We consequently detail a word to the wise for all FPL competitors to beware of. Worryingly, Enzo Maresca has hinted at a possible rest for his prominent attacker.
Only the great Mohamed Salah can keep Chelsea star Cole Palmer from taking all the headlines
Palmer's delicately deft precision and dribbling ability was on show versus Fulham. The 22-year-old's goal was beautifully well-taken and gave further notice of why he is so rated. The Blues playmaker is also essential to own in fantasy football.
The only other EPL footballer I can think of who you must absolutely have in your team at present, is Liverpool legend Mo Salah. The Reds man is presently on course to smash his own FPL records. Alexander Isak and Gabriel Magalhaes are the only two others who come close.
A caution
Although, CFC head coach Enzo Maresca has implied that Palmer might get a rest at some point. Judge for yourself from the comment below:
"We already protected Cole in the Conference. [That is] the reason why he always starts in the Premier League. [Wesley] Fofana was always starting the Premier League because he didn’t play in the Conference and [Romeo] Lavia the same. But this does not mean they are always going to play."Enzo Maresca
