Defeat to Everton on the weekend means Chelsea are winless in their last four matches.
After crashing out of the Champions League at the hands of PSG and struggling in the league, the Blues' season is on a knife edge.
An upcoming FA Cup quarter final against League One Port Vale offers a glimmer of hope, but with results getting worse by the week, expectations aren't high.
And losing 3-0 to Everton last time out has only added to the pressure Liam Rosenior now finds himself under.
It isn't just the head coach who's struggling though. The players look dejected with cracks starting to show, and for one player in particular, it couldn't have been more obvious during the side's last match.
Cole Palmer visibly frustrated with Chelsea teammate
No Chelsea player has done themselves proud in recent weeks but Cole Palmer remains a key figure, and worryingly, one that doesn't look happy.
The England international started against Everton but looked anonymous throughout, especially during the first half.
Beto opened the scoring after 33 minutes and it didn't take long for Palmer to show his frustration. Just four minutes after Everton took the lead, the Chelsea number 10 was visibly annoyed with teammate Pedro Neto.
During one of Chelsea's build up plays around the 37 minute mark, Neto had the ball on the left flank and made a driving run inside. Unmarked Palmer begged for the ball in space in the middle but his calls were ignored.
Neto ended up giving the ball away which left Palmer furious just outside of the Toffees' box.
Palmer facing increased speculation
Although Palmer still has seven years left on his contract, which sees him earn around £130,000-per week, he's already been linked with leaving Stamford Bridge.
Rumoured to prefer living in the North, Palmer has been suggested as a target for Manchester United — the team he supported as a boy — and those whispers are likely to grow louder.
The Blues' poor performances, compiled by Rosenior's divisive style, is certain to lead to increased speculation involving Palmer.
Should Chelsea fail to qualify for next season's Champions League, clubs, including Manchester United, may feel luring the 23-year-old away from London is a genuine possibility, although it remains to be seen just how much money it would take to land the former City academy graduate.
Since joining Chelsea, Palmer has directly contributed to 85 goals in 122 games in all competitions.
