Chelsea have been busy in the transfer market recently, having announced the signing of Joao Pedro, and the arrival of Jamie Gittens is only a matter of time now with Borussia Dortmund already confirming the move. Now, on top of all this, they’ve been handed a major boost in the pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani.

The Blues have already signed two strikers ahead of next season but might still be looking for another one with Nicolas Jackson's future in doubt. Kolo Muani has emerged as a potential option. But the French international, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus, seemed uninterested in a move to the Premier League and wanted to extend his stay in Turin.

However, that situation is likely to change following a recent development. Juventus have officially announced the signing of Jonathan David.

The Canadian international striker arrives as a free agent. He has signed a five-year deal with Juventus.

With the arrival of David, the chances of the Italian giants going for Kolo Muani appear slim. Moreover, it is believed that the club only want another loan spell for the player, whereas PSG are looking for a permanent exit for the Frenchman.

Chelsea, who have been keeping a close eye on the player for quite some time now, could take advantage of the situation. Of course, it remains to be seen whether they will try to bring in another striker.

Kolo Muani had a moderate campaign. However, he was solid on loan at Juventus, showing that he is capable of being a consistent goalscorer in the right team.

PSG are believed to have set an asking price of around €40 million. Though the fee isn’t especially high, Chelsea will have to think long and hard about whether Kolo Muani possesses the quality to succeed at Stamford Bridge.
