Everton have pulled off one of the most exciting moves in their recent history by agreeing a loan deal with Manchester City to bring in Jack Grealish. Once one of the mercurial talents in English football, the former Aston Villa man has struggled to showcase his best in Pep Guardiola's system. Will he do better under David Moyes? One would think so. On the other hand, it looks like the Merseyside club have already set their eyes on a Chelsea player as well.
Chelsea have proven themselves to be elite when it comes to moving players on. But then, there are some that the club might not necessarily want to say goodbye to. Yet, an exit feels inevitable.
Right now, that is the case with Tyrique George. The winger played a decent role in Enzo Maresca's side last season. But he has seen Estevao and Jamie Gittens arrive this summer. On top of that, Alejandro Garnacho is very much on the radar as well and talks are said to be underway with Manchester United.
As a result, George is believed to be concerned about his playing time. So, he wants to leave and join a club where he can continue his development at the senior level. Could Everton prove to be that team?
Everton want to sign Chelsea player after agreeing Jack Grealish deal
As reported by TEAMtalk, Everton hold interest in George and scouted him last season. Chelsea are open to loaning him out or a permanent move for the right offer.
George is a talented player without a doubt. But at this point in time, he might be far down the pecking order on Enzo Maresca's list of wingers.
So, a move away from Stamford Bridge, whether on loan or on a permanent basis, makes sense. RB Leipzig are also believed to be interested in George.
