Chelsea are not expected to be very active in the January transfer window. At most, one can expect the club to make a signing or two. On the other hand, there are quite a few players who are being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge next month. And one of them has been offered to FC Barcelona.

During the Enzo Maresca era, we have seen a few fall out of the Italian's plans, as is almost always the case when a managerial change happens. And even when the club were struggling for options due to injuries, he was not brought back into the fold, which pretty much ends any hope of him wearing the Chelsea jersey again.

We are talking about Axel Disasi. The club clearly wanted to engineer an exit for the French international in the summer but it did not happen. Now, they will try again this January.

While speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Disasi has been offered to Barcelona but the only way is a permanent transfer as he can't leave on loan. AS Roma, Lyon and Paris FC are also interested in the player.

So far, Barcelona have not proceeded. The La Liga champions have had plenty of financial troubles in recent times and it remains to be seen whether they will be willing to invest in a player who has been out of the first-team fold this season and was not particularly impressive when he was playing.

As for Chelsea, the club could do with another option at centre-back due to the injury problems. Levi Colwill might not be back this season. Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana remain injury-prone as well. Disasi is out of the plans as we mentioned. Tosin Adarabioyo is not good enough. And it does not look like Maresca completely trusts Josh Acheampong yet.

There have been suggestions that they could bring Aaron Anselmino back. But we believe that letting him develop at Borussia Dortmund would be the right step instead of bringing him back and giving him limited playing time.
