Chelsea fans have been left frustrated by the club's lack of activity in the ongoing January transfer window. To be honest, the Blues have been poor so far this season and need to get some deals done if they are to turn this campaign. But judging by the lack of speculation at the moment, it does not look like they are planning to do that.

The Blues do seem to be working on some deals. They are exits for players they already have on their books.

One such player is David Datro Fofana. Signed with hopes that he could develop into a starting-level striker someday, he has never even scored a senior goal for the Blues. And now, it looks like the Blues are ready to move on.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Fofana are working on a permanent exit this window. Celtic, Royal Antwerp and Derby County all expressed interest in a potential deal.

Fofana is currently out on loan at Turkish side Fatih Karagumruk. He has scored 7 goals for them in 14 appearances so far this season.

But, if Fofana can be loaned out to a domestic club or transferred permanently, it would save Chelsea an international loan spot. It looks like that is an aim for the Blues.

There does not seem to be any lack of interest in the player, with clubs from across Europe interested in him. That has to be considered as a positive, as he has not done much of note in a Chelsea jersey since coming in, spending the majority of his time out on loan.

Most fans believe that Chelsea need to sign a striker themselves. Joao Pedro's early form had raised hopes that the club had found their 20-goal-a-season striker. The Brazilian has been disappointing for months now though and looks a bit lost. On the other hand, Liam Delap has not scored nearly enough for the Blues to rely on him to lead the line for them as they look to secure a Champions League qualification spot and hopefully some silverware in the second half of the campaign.
