Over the last few weeks, Chelsea have been very busy parting ways with players, whether it be on loan or on a permanent basis. The likes of Noni Madueke, Djordje Petrovic and quite a few others are no longer going to continue at Stamford Bridge. On the other hand, there are many who will be looking to make an impression in order to earn a spot on the squad next season.
Mike Penders became the latest player to leave Chelsea and join Strasbourg on loan. And there is another player who could be about follow suit.
Chelsea have high hopes for the goalkeeper and he has the potential to develop into a starter one day. The same can be said about Kendry Paez as well, the Ecuadorian international who is expected to leave on loan in order to gain experience in European football.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Strasbourg also plan to sign Paez from Chelsea after the deal for Penders. The details of the loan move are being clarified, and then he will travel to France for a new chapter.

Paez is a phenomenal talent. Many consider him to be as good as Estevao. But while the Brazilian is set to stay with the first-team squad, the Ecuadorian will head on a different path.
Of course, it might be a great chapter for Paez. Just look at the impact a loan spell at Strasbourg had on Andrey Santos, who is now a part of the first-team picture at Chelsea. He made four appearances at the Club World Cup and looked the part. That is something that the Ecuadorian international needs to try and replicate.
Paez did brilliantly when playing for Independiente, but this is certainly going to be a step up in levels for him. Let's see how he deals with that before raising expectations.
