Chelsea have been pretty busy in the summer transfer window. They have already completed four news signings, bringing in Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Jorrel Hato. A move for Xavi Simons might be around the corner as well. And they are also expected to at least make a bid to try and sign Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.
On the other hand, they have been even busier when it comes to outgoings. The club have been hard at work, trying to find new homes for those players who do not seem to be a part of Enzo Maresca's plans.
There are plenty of Chelsea players who have been linked with moves away for weeks. The likes of Christopher Nkunku, Renato Veiga and others. But nothing has materialised so far.
Yet, there is also someone like Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. It was just earlier today that it emerged that Everton were interested in signing him. And now, a deal is already over the line. One has to wonder if things have been going on behind the scenes for a while before the news broke out in the media. If so, both clubs deserve a lot of credit.
'Here we go' - Fabrizio Romano confirms £25m Chelsea transfer out of nowhere
Dewsbury-Hall to Everton has gotten the 'here we go' from Fabrizio Romano. He reports that a permanent deal has been agreed with Chelsea and the player's side. The transfer fee is worth £25m fixed plus add-ons up to £28/29m total package.
With 36 appearances, 5 goals and 4 assists, Dewsbury-Hall clearly had a role in the team last season. But that being, it was not big enough for Chelsea to turn down the right offer, which is what they got from Everton.
It is pretty close to what Chelsea paid to sign Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City last summer. That is impressive, considering he was a backup option throughout the 24/25 campaign.
