Chelsea have been very busy finding new homes for a lot of their current crop of players in recent weeks. While the Blues are on the verge of signing Jorrel Hato from Ajax, on the other hand, a long-time striker is going to be completing a permanent exit as well, as they continue to shake up Enzo Maresca's squad.

Chelsea have already parted ways with one striker recently. Marc Guiu has joined Sunderland on loan. And now, this is a permanent exit.

Armando Broja came through the youth ranks at Chelsea and was expected to develop into a first-team player. He showed flashes of quality here and there but never did enough. After scoring just three senior-level goals for the Blues, it looks like the Albanian international's time at Stamford Bridge is coming to a close.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Broja's transfer to Burnley will be permanent. He will complete his medical in the next 24 hours and sign a long-term deal with the Premier League newcomers. It has been given the 'Here we go'.

It remains to be seen what kind of a transfer fee Burnley are set to pay Chelsea. But it is hard to imagine that it will be anything significant.

One has to remember, Broja was goalless in his previous two loan spells, with Fulham and Everton. His only stint worth writing home about was with Southampton in the 2021-22 season, as he scored 9 times in 38 appearances and showed glimpses of the quality everybody has always talked about.

Now 23 years of age, things are clearly not working out for him at Chelsea. So, an exit is the right step for everybody involved. Perhaps he will turn things around like Callum Hudson-Odoi has since leaving Stamford Bridge.
