The new season is almost upon us and, among all Premier League fanbases, are Chelsea fans the most optimistic? Despite last season's tenth place finish, the appointment of Xabi Alonso has seen expectations raise to a sky-high level, with many touting the Blues as potential title challengers.
The fact Alonso will have no European football to contend with is certainly part of this, looking to replicate what Antonio Conte achieved a decade ago. Ahead of Chelsea's opener against West London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage, here is how to watch the Blues in the Premier League from around the world this season.
How to watch Chelsea Premier League games on TV in the UK
In the United Kingdom, the live Premier League TV rights continue to be held by Sky Sports and TNT Sports.
TNT have the rights to 52 matches, which is 32 fixtures at 12:30 on a Saturday as well as two full rounds of mid-week fixtures. Sky Sports meantime will broadcast a minimum of 215 games, meaning at least 70% of fixtures will be broadcast. Given their lack of European football, expect Alonso's side to be saddled with plenty of Friday and Monday night games once the UEFA tournaments return.
Looking at domestic cup competitions, every EFL Cup fixture is broadcast on Sky Sports, with a minimum of one game per round on ITV. The FA Cup meantime is predominantly broadcast on TNT Sports, with two games per round on the BBC.
Can you watch Chelsea at 3pm on Saturday in the UK?
The vast majority of Chelsea matches this season will be broadcast in the UK, but there will be some exceptions, starting with Hull's visit to Stamford Bridge in September.
The 3pm blackout prohibits any live football matches from being broadcast between 2:45pm and 5:15 on Saturday during the season. Thus, there will be a handful of Chelsea matches that will be unavailable in the UK, probably around five or six.
How to watch Chelsea Premier League games in the United States
In the United States, all Premier League matches are available on NBC Sports and Peacock in English, as well as Telemundo in Spanish. On the English language side, games do appear on all sorts of random streaming services, including USA Network, NBCSN and the aforementioned Peacock, so be sure to check ahead of kick off.
In the United States, FA Cup matches are on ESPN Select with EFL Cup fixtures on CBS Sports and Paramount+.

Chelsea do have their own in-house broadcaster CFC+, which has shown live coverage of pre-season matches. However, they are unable to show live Premier League fixtures, albeit full match replays will be available, usually around 24 hours after full time
