Chelsea are almost done in this transfer window in terms of arrivals, with just two more signings remaining to be completed as of now. However, the same cannot be said for the departures department. Players like Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, and Axel Disasi, among others are yet to find new clubs despite not being in the club’s long-term plans.
Carney Chukwuemeka is another player who is believed to be pushing for an exit. The player spent the second half of last season at Borussia Dortmund and has been linked to them throughout the summer.
But the Bundesliga club are rumoured to be looking for another loan move, whereas Chelsea are searching for something permanent. As a result, the deal appears to have stalled.
Meanwhile, it looks like another club have recently registered their interest in the English midfielder. According to Ben Jacobs, Juventus have approached Chelsea over the signing of Chukwuemeka, with the Blues continuing to insist on a permanent transfer. Dortmund have already had multiple offers rejected.
Juventus have approached Chelsea for Carney Chukwuemeka
Chukwuemeka was considered one of the most exciting talents in the Premier League when he joined Chelsea back in 2022. The English midfielder has made a total of 32 appearances for the club in all competitions. However, his time with the Blues appears to be coming to an end, as the player is now believed to be looking for a new team.
While many fans expected him to succeed at Stamford Bridge, that now seems unlikely. The issue isn’t Chukwuemeka’s lack of quality, but rather Chelsea’s currently stacked midfield, which includes players like Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia, Andrey Santos, and Moises Caicedo. Moreover, the club are also close to bringing in Xavi Simons.
That said, with just a few days left before the transfer deadline, Chelsea are yet to receive a convincing offer for the player. Will the club accept a loan deal or a reduced fee, or will they choose to keep him in case no deal is reached in time? That remains to be seen.
