Chelsea are without a win in their last four matches in all competitions and need their best players to step up ahead of a crucial run-in.
Not only Chelsea were dumped out of the Champions League by PSG but back-to-back Premier League defeats to Newcastle and Everton has left their hopes of finishing in the top four hanging by a thread.
Despite results putting Liam Rosenior under pressure, the head coach's job has been made harder by speculation this season could be Enzo Fernandez's last at Chelsea.
And the Argentine isn't the only player facing an uncertain future.
Moises Caciedo not interested in leaving Chelsea despite Real Madrid links
Midfield partner Moises Caicedo has also been linked with a transfer away from London. Real Madrid have once again been touted as a possible destination.
Interestingly though, Chelsea's number 25 has taken a very different approach to speculation he could leave the Blues.
Speaking recently to Dario AS about his Chelsea future, Caicedo remains determined to guide the club to success.
"Real Madrid? I'm focused on my club
I have a contract with Chelsea and I want to become a legend there, God willing.
My intention is to stay there and finish in the best way possible."
The 24-year-old, who joined from Brighton in 2023 for a record £115 million, has five years left on his contract.
Caicedo is showing Enzo Fernandez what elite-level mentality looks like
There are no easy games left for Chelsea. The team have an FA Cup quarter final tie to play against League one outfit Port Vale before a brutal run of league fixtures.
Currently six points off fourth place Aston Villa, the Blues will host both Manchester clubs before they travel to the south coast to take on Fabian Hurzeler Brighton and Hove Albion. The side also have a trip to Anfield to make before the end of May.
And while the likes of Fernandez, rumoured to want a new deal, is using the side's slump to his personal advantage, Caicedo is showing just the type of mentality needed at this stage of the campaign.
Even though links to Real Madrid are what every player dreams of, the Ecuador international is refusing to fall into the same trap as his teammate.
Should Chelsea finish the campaign strongly, ironically, the player most likely to be handed a new, and improved, deal is the one who hasn't asked for it.
