When the Chelsea line up for the game against AC Milan was announced, one name that a lot of fans would have had their eyes on was Enzo Fernandez. The Argentine had been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain recently. In fact, it was even claimed that PSG had made a €150 million offer to sign the double World Cup winner.

Of course, Fernandez is a key part of this Chelsea team. There is no doubt about that. He scored 9 goals and provided 17 assists last season from midfield. Also, he is very important when it comes to controlling the tempo of the game.

So, Chelsea fans don't want to see him leave, even if a mega offer arrives. And it looks like they do not need to be worried.

Fabrizio Romano addressed the rumours on his YouTube channel and confirmed that they are not true. PSG are not working on a deal and Fernandez is not available.

Well, a lot of Chelsea fans will be breathing a sigh of relief hearing that update. Fernandez is very important to this team, for now and the future. They should not be considering parting ways with him at all.

Of course, Fernandez's performance in the first half against AC Milan left a lot to be desired. With the Premier League season around the corner, the team needs to get up to speed in record time this year but unfortunately, the Argentine looked a step behind his teammates.

That is nothing to worry about though. There are a lot of players who take some time after the summer to find their rhythm. Chelsea have plenty of options in the middle of the park. If Fernandez starts the season slowly then perhaps it could be an opportunity to give Andrey Santos more minutes.
