A trio of centreforwards are said to be monitored by the Blues. Viktor Einar Gyokeres is the latest to be added. He plays for Primeira Liga club Sporting CP. In addition, he is a Sweden international. Although, there is a potential caveat to any CFC signing:

"Chelsea are likely to target a high-profile striker in January, with Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres all on their shortlist, but they will probably have to sell players first because of FFP concerns."

Chelsea fans probably won't be pleased by Blues stars partying after latest letdown as former player calls for leadership

Losing to Everton at Goodison Park is nothing to be ashamed of; the Toffees are naturally buoyed by team spirit amid a points deduction. Yet losing to teams such as EFC is not a scenario the Blues should really find themselves in when considering the supposed talent currently at Stamford Bridge. Without cohesion and 100 percent commitment, we may see more losses to very average Premier League sides.

Talking of unity, the CFC squad apparently went for a meal and then a club upon arrival back in London following the forgettable defeat on Merseyside. I would say that this event being allowed to go ahead in spite of the performance and state of the outfit, is inadvisable. To say the least.

I understand why Mauricio Pochettino purportedly gave the OK despite losing, but it may be ill-advised when you think of paying Blues away supporters travelling to the Everton ground and back to watch that effort. Athletes should be permitted to relax and go to a Christmas party, but timing also matters and this was arguably ill-timed. In the meantime, ex-Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel noticed a lack of leadership on the pitch. Maybe 'Poch' hoped Oxford Circus venue Tape was going to build camaraderie.
