While the January transfer window was a quiet one for most Premier League teams, Chelsea could look to return to their usual spending habits in the summer transfer window. The summer may seem like a lifetime away, particularly after the long-drawn-out January period, but Chelsea's best player under Mauricio Pochettino could already be looking for a move away.

Chelsea's best player linked to EARLY EXIT amid Mauricio Pochettino protest

That's if news from Football Transfers is to be believed. The outlet has claimed that Enzo Fernandez and his agents have begun talks with other clubs, amid a potential new journey for the World Cup winner.

Enzo only signed for Chelsea last year, when he was fresh after winning the World Cup, which certainly bolstered his price tag quite significantly. Unlike some players who cost a premium price, Enzo has lived up to his price tag and has been Chelsea's best player in the last two seasons.

So, it seems bizarre that the Argentine international would push for a move away and it must be said that these rumours are still in their early stage, so no need to enter panic stations just yet. Admittedly, though, Enzo being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge does not come at the best time.

For those who haven't read the news, the very reliable source The Athletic has revealed that some Chelsea players have complained that tactical training from Mauricio Pochettino and his peers are limited, and some of the newer players regret their long-term contracts.

Enzo is one of those players with long-term contracts and while The Athletic do not name him as someone who regrets signing, it can certainly be said that the two reports don't seem to be coincidental.
