An absolute Chelsea legend, who won every trophy imaginable while at Stamford Bridge, may join one of the Blues' London rivals. Will N'Golo Kante, who once played in west London and is now at Al-Ittihad, switch to east London? Could West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui land the veteran France International? I am sure most of the supporters on Fulham Road would wish their former favourite well.

There may potentially be more unpalatable transfer news for the CFC fan base to digest soon as well. This is because a target for Enzo Maresca's team is wanted by two other superclubs. Will Dani Olmo join the Blues, or will he eventually go to Barcelona, Manchester City or Man United? The attacker would be an ideal signing at the Bridge, as this writer sees the situation.

Dani Olmo tussle

A spark like that which can be supplied by a gifted footballer such as Olmo was often missing from Chels' matches in 2023/24. The Spain Euro2024-winner and hero is seeming available and currently coveted as a prospective top acquisition by a huge club during the current offseason.

As previously alluded to, Olmo was one of the Euros champions' standout performers, and in the tournament in general. So it is no surprise that he is now a wanted man. And only the biggest of teams are in with a shout of claiming this deluxe footballer.

The Spaniard is presently with RB Leipzig of the Bundesliga in Germany; that division is some way off the standard of the Premier League in England. However, Olmo showed quite clearly for his nation in the recently ended competition that he is ready for the EPL challenge. I'd say he'd pass with flying colours.

Although, it's just my opinion but the Leipzig man does appear to be the sort of player who'll just end up back in his home country. Of course, Real Madrid and Barcelona instantly spring to mind when considering his possible career options and eventual path. Don't ask me why, the view merely derives from a gut feeling of mine.

So I was totally unsurprised to see the 26-year-old linked with a move to Barca. Los Blancos are supposedly in the running for his signature, with Man Utd, the Citizens and CFC keen too.

Chelsea icon might sign for fellow English capital top-flight side West Ham United

Would you be upset if Kante signed for the Hammers?

"West Ham are interested in signing Al-Ittihad midfielder N'Golo Kante for around £20m but wages are a potential obstacle"
