Chelsea open talks for January signing with Blues expected to sign 3 more
In spite of Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino recently stating that he doesn't envision the club being busy while transactions are permitted this month, there is speculation of four incomings at Stamford Bridge. I would be very surprised to see more than one or two senior signings, if that. Once again, it would be less of a shock if a few young stars of the future are acquired.
Meanwhile the Blues have supposedly started negotiations for Jean-Clair Todibo. There is more on that early hearsay here. If only one signing is made, he'd be a good one. Although, there are other areas of the squad which require improving first. In December, before all of this chatter began, reputable sources claimed that CFC had signed Pape Daouda Diong. However, the Senegalese won't join the side until the season ends.
Alfie Gilchrist on his amazing Chelsea appearances
Gilchrist was the talk of the town (city, or the league) following two passionate but well-managed Blues cameos. He was pleased with his first touches because they were positive, and wanted to take his chance, which he wholly did. The defender said he was full of energy when coming off the substitute's bench.
The latest up-and-coming Blue also thanked his manager for the opportunity to protect the three points on two occasions. Keep an eye on this player, rated by CFC icon John Terry.
