Chelsea will undoubtedly have big plans for the summer transfer window. They had a quiet January window which can only mean one thing - Todd Boehly is banking his cash to exploit the summer market. However, they have received some tough news today.

Chelsea REJECTED by insanely talented youngster who wants Champions League transfer

One player who Chelsea have been linked with before is the talented wonderkid Roony Bardghji. Ageing at just 18 years old, he already has attracted interest from some of Europe's big clubs, courtesy of his dramatic goal against Manchester United in the Champions League.

This relates exactly to the problem which Chelsea face, though. Since Roony Bardghji has had a taste of Champions League stardom, he isn't likely to let this slip out of his grasp. Instead, he is keen on a transfer, but only to a club that can offer Champions League football, according to FourFourTwo.

It looks VERY unlikely that Chelsea will be able to offer Champions League football to any of their summer signings next season. The Blues are 11th in the league standings, having lost their previous two outings.

Some might say that Chelsea don't need more signings, since overspending may be the reason they are in this mess to begin with. However, try telling this to Todd Boehly, who has built quite the reputation for being a frivolous spender and doesn't look like stopping anytime soon.

Speaking to TV2, Bardghji said: "My goal is to be the best in the world, that has always been my goal. This is what I work hard for. I want to play in big clubs and in the Champions League next year again."

Meanwhile, Chelsea received a pretty significant transfer boost, as it has been revealed that Ivan Toney is on Mauricio Pochettino's wishlist. Targeting Toney seemed to be an inevitable as he is the striker every Premier League side wants in the summer.

Perhaps, then, Chelsea could save their money and instead of signing Bardghji, they could sign Ivan Toney instead. I must admit, prioritising experienced Premier League quality should be on Chelsea's agenda, since they plan a long-term vision to return to their former glory days.

It also must be stated that much of Chelsea's summer transfer activity could depend on their managerial situation, with a section of the fanbase divided in terms of Mauricio Pochettino - Should he stay or should he go, is the question.

Who would you like Chelsea to sign in the next transfer window?
