An ex-Chelsea star has urged the Blues ownership to bite the bullet, so to speak, by selling a World Cup-winning midfielder. Enzo Fernandez remains under pressure following the disgusting situation he and his some international teammates created. In spite of an apology from the Argentina star, some people no longer want Fernandez at Stamford Bridge. And who can blame them?!

Meanwhile the upcoming preseason schedule is assessed. The west Londoners are about to embark on a trip to North America. But what friendlies are Chels' involved in, and where will these practice matches take place in the United States?

Blues tour USA with five friendlies arranged and one clash back home at the Bridge

We are now, happily, only four days away from seeing Chelsea back in action. A promising season is anticipated after more than a couple of years of difficulties and evolution.

The Blues are now back in Europe, thankfully. Even if it is only the Europa Conference League. Nevertheless, with eye-catching signings and more to follow, there is an improved optimism on Fulham Road. Mouthwatering prospects such as Cole Palmer have also helped elevate expectations at CFC.

The first time we will get to see the latest version of the Chels team will be in America, as preseason games get underway. Manager Enzo Maresca will have been working tirelessly on his latest side. Not to mention signing suitable players, with more in mind, in order to complete the lineup.

So what non-competitive fixtures are upcoming? First up are Welsh outfit Wrexham on Thursday, July 25 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Then it is Scottish Premier League champions Celtic. Chelsea meet the Hoops at Notre Dame Stadium in Indiana.

Following that friendly contest, CFC head to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. There the Blues will play Mexico City or Club America, 'las Aguilas'; the club compete in Mexican Liga MX. Next up are Premier League title-winners Manchester City; this one takes place at Ohio Stadium in Columbus.

The final USA encounter is in Charlotte, North Carolina. Real Madrid are the opponents at Bank of America Stadium. The final warm-up game of the summer is against Inter Milan back at the Bridge.

Should Chelsea get rid of Enzo Fernandez?

One-time Chelsea player Tony Cascarino has suggested that the club are in a very "tricky" situation with Fernandez. I think we can all agree on that after the Argentine's unforgivable and upsetting social media post. But what did Cascarino say exactly?:

"It's going to be tricky. I look back at when I was at Chelsea in the 90s and I'm not sure that dressing room would be OK with what Enzo Fernandez did.

That’s a tricky one to handle. I think Chelsea have got a major decision on whether they actually keep Enzo Fernandez

Having players not happy with a guy in the dressing room, I’m not sure there will be many that comfortable with some of the things that have gone on.

There’s no excuse for that to go out. It’s not going to sit well with the other players is it?
I don’t know how you can handle it because there will be players who can’t forgive. There might be some who can move on despite not liking what happened.

You don’t need everyone to like each other at a club but this is a really, really tricky one. Some players won’t want to move on or make it work.

But Cascarino reckons there may be one final way Fernandez can get back in Chelsea's good books.

He added: He’s going to have to apologise to the squad face-to-face as well and maybe then there will be a bit more forgiveness"
