Chelsea have been on a roll over the past few months, having concluded the season with two trophies, the Conference League and the inaugural Club World Cup. They also finished fourth in the Premier League, securing a Champions League spot for the upcoming campaign. After years, things are once again looking up for the Blues.

Chelsea have also been fairly busy in the transfer market, having brought in Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, and Jamie Gittens to boost Enzo Maresca's forward options, although Chelsea may add another attacking player this summer after Noni Madueke left for Arsenal. The club are also looking for suitors for Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix.

However, a recent report has arrived now, which states that Real Madrid are contemplating a massive offer for one of their top players. Of course, Los Blancos are no strangers to signing superstars from Chelsea.

According to Fichajes, Real Madrid are willing to make a historic move and are already preparing a €150 million offer for Enzo Fernandez. Xabi Alonso wants the Argentine midfielder. The deal, however, is subject to departures that the club hopes to finalise in the coming weeks.

Fernandez has previously been linked to Los Blancos on numerous occasions. So, let's see if it materialises into something substantial.

Chelsea paid Benfica €121 million in 2023, making him the club's most expensive signing. It remains to be seen how much they would want to part ways with him.

To raise that money, Real Madrid are reportedly willing to let Eduardo Camavinga, Rodrygo and Fran García leave this summer. Incidentally, Chelsea are one of the clubs being linked with the Brazilian winger.

Fernandez has seven years left on his current Chelsea contract, has made a name for himself as one of the team's key players and has captained the Blues on numerous occasions. Last season, the Argentine made 53 appearances in all competitions, scoring 9 goals and contributing 17 assists.

Real Madrid might have to move mountains to entice the Argentine to Santiago Bernabeu, and even then, there is no guarantee that a move will happen. Then again, a €150 million offer can change a lot of minds. If successful, Fernandez will become the third-most expensive player in football history.

Of course, it remains to be seen how accurate the rumours coming out of Spain are. In recent times, Real Madrid have been far happier to wait and sign players as free agents rather than shake up the world with Galactico signings.
