The cruel moment that left Chelsea's Estevao in tears vs Manchester United

He lasted just 16 minutes before being forced off for treatment. This blow is the teenager's latest in a long line of unfortunate injuries.

Liam Rosenior will be pulling his hair out after being dealt another crushing injury blow.

No one will deny that Chelsea aren't in a major slump. They've lost all four of their last Premier League games and have failed to score a single goal in each of them.

And Rosenior has held his hands up and admitted the side, and his management, haven't been anywhere near good enough, but the 41-year-old has had some dreadful luck too.

Ever since he took over from Enzo Maresca at the start of the year, Rosenior has had to deal with multiple injuries.

Levi Colwill's pre-season ACL injury has seen him miss the entire campaign with offers constantly in and out of the treatment room too.

Tearful Estevao dealt another devastating injury blow

Few have been as unfortunate as young Estevao, though.

The Brazilian teenager has already missed 10 games through illness and injury with his last the most significant; a pulled hamstring which ruled him out for a month.

Despite making his highly anticipated return only recently, the 18-year-old, who started against Manchester United on Saturday, lasted just 16 minutes before he was forced to withdraw.

Rosenior, who spoke to Chelsea's official website after the match, explained what happened which led to his young number 41 crying in the changing room.

"He was crying at half time; it was really devastating for him.

It looks like it's his hamstring and that has happened in a moment when he's running through on their goal for a one-v-one chance – he pulls his hamstring in that moment.

I hope Este comes back sooner rather than later."

Estevao was replaced by Alejandro Garnacho, but despite the Argentine getting over 75 minutes worth of action, he failed to make an impact, much to fans' continued frustrations.

Enzo Fernandez joins Joao Pedro as doubts for Brighton game

While Tuesday's match against Brighton will definitely come too soon for Estevao, there are also concerns over Enzo Fernandez and Joao Pedro.

Fernandez was subbed off with a few minutes to play against Manchester United for what looked like a cramp-related issue. The Chelsea head coach hopes to have him available for the side's trip to the south coast but there are no guarantees.

Pedro is another who may not win his fitness race in time. The Brazilian missed the Red Devils' visit to Stamford Bridge after picking up a thigh injury earlier in the week. Rosenior plans for him to return against the Seagulls but again, there are no guarantees at this stage.
