Morgan Rogers continued to impress for England with another good performance against the Czech Republic in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday evening.

The 24-year-old attacker assisted 125-time capped Harry Kane for the Three Lions' second during a comprehensive 3-0 victory.

The Three Lions' latest victory keeps them second in Group C, three points behind European and World Champions Spain.

Morgan Rogers explains England's ambitions

Speaking to ITV Sport after Tuesday's game at Wembley, Rogers said: “That’s the way we want to play and you could see that in the whole camp really, even in the Spain game.

“We’re trying to be more positive and we’re trying to show ourselves.

“At times during the World Cup, looking back at it, there were times in games when we didn’t quite show true ability.

“Of course it’s tougher in the World Cup and teams are trying to stop you but we knew we wanted to show ourselves a bit more and keep trying to improve and develop as a unit.

“I think we definitely did that and it’s a step in the right direction.“

England's next block of fixtures comes next month when they will play Croatia and Spain on November 12th and 15th, respectively.

Rogers reveals Thomas Tuchel's disappointment

Although Rogers, who joined Chelsea from Aston Villa for a mammoth £117 million in the summer, had a great game against Czech Republic, he was very self-critical and felt he should've set up far more opportunities than he did.

The former Aston Villa and Middlesbrough man failed to deliver several crosses into the box as well as he normally does.

“Yeah, I wasn’t happy about a few of them,' the 24-year-old admitted.

“The manager looked at me after one of them and didn’t seem too happy.

“It’s something I take pride in so I was a bit disappointed, but for one to come off was nice.

“I was happy to get the assist for the captain again.“

Rogers doesn't have anywhere near the same kind of international experience as others, including close friend Jude Bellingham, who's made nearly three times as many appearances for his country, so there will be plenty of opportunities for the Chelsea star to impress.

Now back in London, Rogers will be preparing to face Bournemouth on the weekend with the Cherries set to travel to Stamford Bridge for the first Premier League game back after the break.
