The list of Real Madrid stars who could potentially be swapped for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez is mouthwatering and unbelievable. At present, Aurelien Tchouameni is the main man at the centre of this particular speculation alongside Fernandez. Though, if Madrid are as set on the Argentine as they apparently are, the calibre of players they may possibly offer to the Blues is what this writer would describe as unreal.
While Spain and los Blancos remain one of the prime destinations for the most eminent of footballers, LaLiga is just not the Premier League. So, can the west London club's hierarchy and recruitment staff tempt one of these superstars to Stamford Bridge? And will CFC have to relinquish one of their supposedly premium talents in order to sign notable and sometimes priceless Madridistas?
Should Chelsea allow Enzo Fernandez to depart the club so to complete the transfer of an arguably better player?
Yes, is the answer to my subheading question above. Obviously this is just my view on a hypothetical situation, but there you go. In fact, just yesterday (Wednesday) I wrote about Barcelona's interest in Fernandez. You can access those thoughts that by clicking here.
And Barca aren't only eyeing one Chels' asset. Oh no. The Spanish juggernauts are said to be targeting a transfer for young Blues midfield man Romeo Lavia. Due to injury, the former Southampton starlet is only now really showing why so many huge teams are after him.
So, in my humble opinion, keeping Lavia is a superior option to Fernandez staying. Fernandez hasn't settled in the Premier League after almost two years in the best global division. Yet Lavia looks the part at only age 20.
If Real or Blaugrana want to pay big money for Fernandez, then it is a worthwhile deal for the Fulham Road outfit. If a player such as Tchouameni plus potential cash is on offer in a swap agreement, the bid should be accepted.
A galactico in the midst at Stamford Bridge?
Madrid are reportedly 'open to selling' the France International, therefore he's an option for Chelsea. Maybe the club from Spain can be convinced to sell Federico Valverde or even the more suitable Eduardo Camavinga instead.
Attacking-midfielder Jude Bellingham won't be involved in any exchange. Will Blues bosses attempt to lure Thibaut Courtois back to the Bridge? Any wish to reclaim Antonio Rudiger will surely be blocked. Does talk of Rodrygo being available in the new year mean he could be added?
"Indeed, a Spanish media source explains this week that France international Aurelien Tchouameni could be sacrificed to sweeten a deal with Chelsea.
Real Madrid are prepared to offer Tchouameni to Chelsea in exchange for Fernandez, with the latter wanted personally by Ancelotti. Maresca's midfield ace has become Real's prime target to bolster their central options, and Fernandez could apparently welcome the move.
The 23-year-old is seen by Ancelotti as an ideal signing to complement his young midfield, who would partner the likes of Federico Valverde, Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga."
