Mason Mount (Right Winger): 7/10

Mason Mount was a very frustrated figure throughout the first half as he couldn’t get the better of Kostas Tsimikas. The England international came close to giving Chelsea the lead towards the dying ends of the first half but his effort was just wide. In the second half, Mount was much better as he was more involved with the play and pulled the opponent defenders out of position.

Kai Havertz (Striker): 6/10

In a rather scintillating game, Kai Havertz was one of the very few players who had a quiet game. Playing in place of an axed Romelu Lukaku, the German struggled in the first half but won the free-kick which led to Mateo Kovacic’s leveler. He was substituted by Callum Hudson Odoi in the 79th minute.

Christian Pulisic (Left Winger): 8.5/10

Being restored to his best position today, Christian Pulisic showed how good the American international can be. He was a continuous threat throughout the game and should have scored in the opening minutes when one on one with the keeper but Kelleher was spot on. After that Pulisic was having a dull game before he scored the equalizer just before halftime. In the second half, Pulisic was a menace to the Liverpool defense and could have given Chelsea the lead if it was not from Kelleher’s close-range save. He ended the game as a wingback as the introduction of Jorginho prompted a tactical change.

Jorginho (Central Midfielder, Sub): 6/10

Jorginho was introduced in place of Trevoh Chalobah in the 68th minute and he in some way calmed down the game. Other than that, he didn’t do much.

Callum Hudson Odoi (Striker, Sub): N/A

Callum Hudson Odoi came on for Kai Havertz and played as a lone striker. Other than drawing a foul from Konate, Hudson Odoi didn’t do much to impact the game.
