Chelsea vs Aston Villa: EPL betting guide and tips

Here are your betting guide and tips for the Premier League clash between Chelsea and Aston Villa.

The final international break of the 2022/23 campaign has come and gone, and the home stretch is finally upon us. This has undoubtedly been one of the most frustrating Chelsea seasons in recent memory, with more twists and turns than a drunk snake (shout out Ray Hudson) that has left the fanbase feeling unsure about the future of the club.

The team under Graham Potter has been inconsistent, to say the least, but ultimately turned up in some important moments to find itself in the Champions League quarter-finals yet again. I’d be pleasantly surprised if we advanced past Real Madrid into a third consecutive continental semifinal, but I’m more concerned about performances than results at this point. There needs to be a tangible improvement over the next few months.

The 2022/23 betting season has also been one of ups and downs here at The Pride of London. I’ve gone 57-54 on bets so far; a decent winning percentage, but without enough value on most plays to end up in the green.

There’s still time for a late rally over the final 13 matches, minimum, and that starts with a great showing during the Blues’ visit from Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon. I hit on all three of my plays when these two sides last met in October, so let’s hope for more of the same this time around.
