1. Chelsea release 14 players including the French international midfielder:

The west London outfit have recently released their retained and released list on the Premier League site which confirms that they released 14 players including Tiemoue Bakayoko who joined the club from Monaco in 2017 for £40million but struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge. In his first season, the midfielder made 43 appearances and lifted the FA Cup but never really impressed and it went down hill from then on. Since then the Frenchmen has been on loan five times at clubs like AC Milan, Napoli and Monaco but never put in a good shift to become an important player for any of the teams.

Along with Bakayoko, youngsters namely Derrick Abu, Prince Adegoke, Nathan Baxter, Juan Castillo, Bryan Fiabema, Joe Haigh, Henry Lawrence, Sam McClelland, Silko Thomas, Ethan Wady, Jayden Wareham, Xavier Simons and Dujon Sterling have left the club. The later of the two have joined Hull City for an undisclosed fee and Rangers on a free respectively.
