4. Mason Mount transfer saga reaches tipping point:

The Mason Mount transfer saga has stretched out for quite some time and now it seems to have reached a tipping point where the England international seems to have given the west London club an ultimatum of either selling him now to Manchester United or risk losing him for free next year. Manchester United have made multiple bids for Mount and the recent bid from the red devils was of £50million plus £5million in add-ons. The Blues rejected this third bid and countered with £58million + £7million.

CFC are adamant over their price tag of £70 million and having made player sales worth £150 million, Chelsea are financially well-placed to hold firm for a large fee. But at the same time, the club negotiators should also be aware of the fact that Mount can easily leave the club for free next summer. Having a player who is not committed to the club in the long term can easily disrupt the harmony of the dressing room. Despite the players recent comments of being available for the club even if a deal with Manchester United does not go through might be comments just to look good in front of the fans but it is very easy to understand that Mason Mount is not the player who fan labelled as a ‘proper chels’ to say the least.
