According to Sofascore, the Atletico Madrid forward played 16 games, and completed 23 dribbles in the Premier League, yet he only created seven chances in all and just one big chance, that is really poor.

Dishonourable mentions

Marc Cucurella, Left wingback/centerback, Spain

The Spaniard is on this list and not anywhere in the previous section because while he was underwhelming, his usage was quite poor from Potter and Lampard. Most importantly, Marc Cucurella still did many of the things well he did at Brighton (tackling, winning ground duels).

He was, unfortunately, the result of Badiashile being unregistered for the Champions League, finding himself playing several Champions League and league matches at left centerback, a position that did not do him justice at all.

Kalidou Koulibaly, Centerback, Senegal

Kalidou Koulibaly has now gone to Al-Hilal, but his time here cannot really be classified as disappointing because he himself said he would need some time to adjust and he did. When he was moved away from the left side of the three centerback formation to the center, his performances picked up almost instantly. Many call him a flop for his time here, but he was far from it, not to mention one of the few leaders that were in the dressing room.
