Chelsea 0-1 Aston Villa: Blues player ratings
Substitutes
Ben Chilwell: 7/10
The full back was a creative force who helped bring life to that left flank with his pace. Agreed, he was through on goal and should’ve given the side that equalizer which could’ve given us a chance to take control of the match. But his performance will have surely warranted him a spot in the starting XI for the upcoming fixtures.
Lesley Ugochukwu: 5/10
Unlike the last game, Ugochukwu struggled and didn’t have any impact whatsoever. In fact he gave up possession on a couple of occasions and will not want to dwell on this game.
Cole Palmer: 7.5/10
Palmer yet again proved why he should be one of the first names on the team sheet. The young Englishman created multiple chances in the limited time he had and at least a couple of them should’ve found the back of the net. He’ll be happy with his performance and will look forward to an upgrade in status at the club.
Armando Broja: 5.5/10
The Albanian forward made his return from a long term injury which he endured against Villa itself back in December. He was brought on for the last twenty minutes and couldn’t really impact the game except for that one chance in the dying minutes which he headed wide.
