In December last year, Chelsea found themselves in a tough spot when Mykhailo Mudryk was suspended with no known return date. Now, it looks like that could last for as many as four years. Jadon Sancho, who arrived at Stamford Bridge on loan from Manchester United, also failed to make an impact and has since returned to Old Trafford.

Enzo Maresca was often left with little choice but to play Noni Madueke there, moving him from his preferred position on the right. And, in all honesty, the England international wasn’t half bad. He scored 11 goals and provided 5 assists in all competitions.

However, with the transfer window now open, Chelsea are pushing to bring in a dedicated right-footed left winger. This has raised some questions regarding the future of Madueke at the club. Recently, it was also reported that Chelsea are open to offers and will listen.

On the other hand, as reported by The Telegraph, Arsenal among clubs monitoring Madueke’s situation at Chelsea. But it is hard to gauge the strength of their interest in the England international winger and whether they will pursue him.

Arsenal among Premier League clubs monitoring Madueke as Chelsea exit possible

Chelsea have already agreed personal terms with Jamie Gittens and are expected to complete the signing at some point this summer. Furthermore, the Blues are reportedly also pursuing Mohammed Kudus, who can play on both wings.

On the other hand, Pedro Neto appears to have solidified his place on the right wing for the time being. So, moving forward, the chances of Madueke getting regular minutes at the club look slim. And do not forget about the impending arrival of Estevao.

If Madueke decides to stay, the club will have a reliable backup option for both wings. If he chooses to leave, Chelsea could use the funds to strengthen various positions in the squad in this summer transfer window.
