Arsenal have been picking players from Chelsea’s squad over the years. Kai Havertz, Jorginho, David Luiz, Petr Cech are some of those names who have made the switch. In this transfer window as well, Mikel Arteta's side signed Kepa Arrizabalaga early on, and more recently, Noni Madueke has followed suit and is set to make the move across London

With the arrival of Jamie Gittens and Estevao this summer, Madueke’s minutes were expected to decrease, which is the likely reason behind his decision to leave. The Blues are now left with limited backup options on the wings for next season.

They reportedly tried to bring in Mohammed Kudus as a replacement but their pursuit was stopped in its tracks as the player decided to join Tottenham Hotspur instead. However, Chelsea might be able to revisit another target for the position who could be on the move this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid are open to letting Rodrygo exit but will leave the final decision to the Brazilian. He won’t join Al Nassr and his focus is on Europe.

Rodrygo could be a perfect replacement for Madueke. The Brazilian winger has played primarily on the right flank at Real Madrid but could also operate on the left just as well.

The Brazilian international, who was a regular in Carlo Ancelotti's team, has failed to break into the starting XI in the last five matches under new manager Xabi Alonso. As a result, he could be on his way out this summer.

Chelsea have been known to be admirers of the player and were considering bringing him to Stamford Bridge previously, but his high valuation by Real Madrid was said to be an issue. However, with the departure of Madueke estimated at £52 million, the Blues will have some additional funds to try and sign Rodrygo this time around.

That said, even if Chelsea decide to go after Rodrygo, they won’t be alone, as a number of clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Arsenal, are also said to be interested in securing his services. So, a transfer tug-of-war cannot be ruled out, which might push the Brazilian winger’s valuation further up.
